LONDON, UK – Digital Fineprint, InsurTech innovator and winner of “Best General Startup in the UK” has entered the Hong Kong market for insurance. As part of the 2016 Allianz Accelerator, the world’s largest insurer brought five of the most promising startups in the world on an exploratory tour to Hong Kong. Digital Fineprint turns social media data into insurance data in order to improve take-up rates for insurers as well as stepping up levels of social engagement and user experience.

After founding the company at Oxford University, Digital Fineprint moved its head office to London. After raising seed investment from EOS Venture Partners, RAW Capital plus angel investors the organisation has expanded to both France and Hong Kong in order to reach more insurers.
“Our social media analytics platform fits perfectly in Asia, where the majority of the population is on mobile and social media networks are well established. Insurers are also incredibly innovative and we will be completing three pilots in the region before the end of the year” Erik Abrahamsson states.
In the meantime, the team in London is expanding, and the first direct-to-consumer online personal lines insurance products are expected in early December.
